So I've been trying to explain Bitcoin to my parents for like ages. They're not super tech-savvy but somehow they got curious after all that FTX news. The thing that finally clicked for them was comparing it to gold. I told them it's basically like digital gold with a fixed supply and that there's no central bank messing around with it.
I even showed them my cold wallet, which honestly blew their minds. They were kinda skeptical at first, thinking I was just online gambling or something. But once they saw that I wasn't just reading random internet stuff and actually knew what I was talking about, they got more interested.
Anyone else had similar experiences? Any tips for simplifying Bitcoin for the older crowd? It's a slow process but I think I might have converted them.
